West Dapto Urban Release Area

Bureau Veritas was appointed by Wollongong City Council to project manage the rezoning and master planning of a 3000ha land area around West Dapto, south of Wollongong. The 3,000 hectare site has long been envisaged for development, however a range of complex issues have hindered progress.  

Our role was to undertake integration of the complex infrastructure planning issues, project management of the consultants with a tight timeframe, negotiation with relevant Government agencies, and overlay of the feasibility and release strategies for the area.  

Bureau Veritas provided support to Wollongong City Council in their investigations and the management of the rezoning process. Our objective and pragmatic approach to resolving infrastructure and planning issues greatly assisted Wollongong City Council in securing the desired outcomes.

Note: APP Corporation Pty Limited (The APP Group) was initially contracted for this project. The APP Group was acquired by Bureau Veritas in December 2024.
