An award-winning innovative workplace in Perth’s CBD.

As a world leader in innovative workplace design and technology, Westpac wanted to improve on its ground-breaking Barangaroo head office development and extend it for its Perth location. The workplace had to be agile, sustainable and multi-functional, in addition to being at the cutting edge of design.  

Their goals were to remain at the cutting edge of design in line with their changing business needs, save significant costs on leasing and operations by amalgamating their two premises in St George’s Terrace, and design a globally recognised workplace that is agile, sustainable, and multi-functional.  

Bureau Veritas was appointed as Project Manager to deliver 6,300 sqm of agile work environment within a tight timeframe. The project team also provided services including due diligence and property search, procurement, design management, stakeholder consultation and contract administration.  

The project won multiple awards including:  

► 2018 MBA Award Winner – Best Building Fitout $20m – $50m  

► 2018 Sydney Design Awards – Silver 

► WELL certification – Silver Level for New and Existing Interiors. 

Note: APP Corporation Pty Limited (The APP Group) was initially contracted for this project. The APP Group was acquired by Bureau Veritas in December 2024.
