Stage 1 Gap Ridge Industrial Estate

Bureau Veritas plays key role in realising LandCorp’s plan for regional development.

Bureau Veritas played a key role in the major industrial development, Gap Ridge Industrial Estate, located between Dampier and Karratha in north-west WA.

This estate is part of LandCorp’s plan to deliver a state-wide land and infrastructure development strategy for regional WA in order to maximise economic development, employment and create permanent, sustainable communities.

The project delivered a range of industrial lot sizes with efficient transport access. This development-ready land greatly assisted in the ongoing expansion of industry and economic growth in the Pilbara Region of WA.

Constructed in four stages over six years, realising 114 lots for general and light industry over 260Ha, the program of works included the creation of new road and streetscape, provision of water, sewer, and power and stormwater drainage services. Bureau Veritas managed the State 1 earthworks and subdivision works including construction management and contract administration.

Bureau Veritas has a long standing successful relationship with Landcorp. They observed our management of the civil works contractors at Perth Airport, which brought about cultural and behavioural changes in the team to perform in a tight timeframe.

Note: APP Corporation Pty Limited (The APP Group) was initially contracted for this project. The APP Group was acquired by Bureau Veritas in December 2024.
