Murdoch Private Hospital and the Haematology & Oncology Clinic
Building health infrastructure for WA’s growing medical research, health care and education hub.
In partnership with Project Directors Australia (PDA), Bureau Veritas was appointed as project managers and superintendents for two facilities for Montserrat Day Hospitals (now Nexus Hospitals), the Murdoch Private Hospital and Haematology & Oncology Clinic. The hospital and cancer clinic spans multiple levels with a tight floor plate and an extremely efficient design.
Completed in 2023, the new private hospital and cancer clinic is located at the heart of the new Murdoch Health & Knowledge Precinct, a 60,000sqm mixed-use development by Aegis Health and Hesperia. The first stage of this precinct is valued at $250 million and is located next to Fiona Stanley Hospital, another project delivered by Bureau Veritas.
The area will eventually be home to around 1,200 dwellings for 2,400 residents and include health, retail and commercial space to support the growing health and education hub. The precinct forms part of the wider Murdoch Specialised Activity Centre, which has the potential to emerge as a new city centre in Perth’s southern corridor.
