Menangle Park Precinct
Modernising the southern gateway to Campbelltown.
Menangle Park is one of Sydney’s most significant growth precincts, centrally positioned in the Greater Macarthur Growth Area. The area will pay homage to its historic connections to the Menangle Park Paceway, Glenlee Homestead and the Nepean River.
To be delivered over 10 years, Menangle Park will accommodate:
- Upwards of 5,250 new homes for a population of approximately 16,300 people
- A new town centre and neighbourhood centres supporting 2,700 new jobs
- 30+ hectares of new open space including riverside playing fi elds and parks
- Employment lands forming part of the planned Glenlee industrial park
Bureau Veritas was engaged by Dahua Group to provide planning and design lead services for the preparation of a masterplan and planning proposal. The planning proposal was gazetted in April 2022. Over the course of the project we have worked collaboratively with Campbelltown City Council in preparing a new DCP for the precinct and we continue to provide planning services to support the roll-out of DAs for new subdivision stages, new parks and the precinct’s new town centre.
In addition, Bureau Veritas was engaged to provide project management services for the subdivision stages, parks and playing fi elds. Our team will manage stakeholders to ensure design requirements and timeframes are achieved, administer construction contracts, and deliver the work.
We have previously provided advisory, commercial management, and project delivery services to Dahua Group during Menangle Park Stages 1 and 2. Our team assisted with the acquisition, rezoning and Development Applications. These stages included the delivery of over 300 residential lots and all critical infrastructure despite the challenges of flood events and COVID-19.
When completed, Menangle Park will offer over 4,000 homesites and feature spacious urban parks, sporting fi elds and an integrated transport, cycle, and pedestrian network for improved access within Menangle Park and surrounding areas. A new major town centre will be located at the heart of Menangle Park providing a variety of retail and dining options and acting as a hub for community activities.
Note: APP Corporation Pty Limited (The APP Group) was initially contracted for this project. The APP Group was acquired by Bureau Veritas in December 2024.
