Armidale Hospital Redevelopment

Armidale Hospital Redevelopment

Improving healthcare services for the Northern Tablelands in NSW.

Health Infrastructure NSW identified the need for Armidale Hospital to undergo redevelopment to allow it to improve healthcare services to the Armidale community and benefit from more modern flow-through designs and enhanced health services.

Bureau Veritas was appointed in 2015 as Project Manager and part of the lead design team along with Wilde and Woollard and Building Studio Architects. The redevelopment was completed in March 2018 and included an Emergency Department, Medical Inpatient Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Department and Central Sterilising Department.

Armidale is the central administrative hub for the Northern Tablelands in NSW with an immediate population of almost 24,000 people as of 2021.

Note: APP Corporation Pty Limited (The APP Group) was initially contracted for this project. The APP Group was acquired by Bureau Veritas in December 2024.
