Domestic Departures Area at Perth Airport

Perth Airport

A trusted partner for the future of Perth Airport.

With a predicted growth of passengers from 14 million to 28.5 million by 2035, Perth Airport wanted to upgrade its facilities to meet the future needs of travellers and continue to offer the best customer service possible. After demonstrating its capabilities, Perth Airport chose to partner with Bureau Veritas to oversee all its projects throughout the program of works.

Bureau Veritas delivered project management services for a range of terminal, infrastructure, retail and commercial development projects. We began by establishing a project management office onsite to manage more than 170 projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $50 million. Our team also acted as the stakeholder representative for Perth Airport in all dealings with tenants, including Emirates, Virgin and all of the retailers.

Beyond project management, Bureau Veritas was tasked with managing the design of the terminal expansion program from concept through to the end of construction. During construction, we also implemented a detailed OH&S system with a focus on passenger safety and to minimise any disruption during their travel experience. Our team played a key role in assisting Perth Airport to gain approval for its Major Development Plan from the federal government.

Note: APP Corporation Pty Limited (The APP Group) was initially contracted for this project. The APP Group was acquired by Bureau Veritas in December 2024.
