M12 Motorway

Providing compliance certainty for a major new motorway servicing Western Sydney.

The M12 Motorway is a 16-kilometre dual carriage motorway connecting the future Western Sydney International Airport with the M7 Motorway at Cecil Hills and The Northern Road at Luddenham. It is being constructed as a key part of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan, a $4.4 billion road and transport program designed to improve mobility and connectivity for the Western Sydney region. This project includes electronic tolling facilities at the M7 interchange, the construction of new bridges, pedestrian and cycling facilities, and ancillary development.

The APP Group was appointed to provide Independent Auditor for Environmental Performance and Compliance services during the construction of the M12 Motorway. The role included the review of management plan implementations, environmental performance of the project, and environmental records.

In addition, the team conducted site inspections, interviews with site personnel and stakeholder consultation.

Note: APP Corporation Pty Limited (The APP Group) was initially contracted for this project. The APP Group was acquired by Bureau Veritas in December 2024.
